"Definitely
the biggest cheer for any guest singer and even listening to the die hard Bolan
fans it was clear Shaky has a great amount of respect among them. They
seemed to all know Shaky covered 'Chrome Sitar' (Come On Little Girl) and it
must have proved very popular with them. Shaky introduced himself and told
of a time when he played at Marc Bolan's Birthday many years ago with The
Sunsets. Shaky then launched into Chrome Sitar and sent the crowd into a
frenzy. Shaky's vocals were excellent and carried this hard song to sing
perfectly like it was his own. He moved about more than ever and smiled
like he really enjoyed this chance to honour the late great T-Rex
front-man. The next track was new to us all and was an absolutely belting
rock track called 'Laser Love'. Shaky then made his exit to the biggest cheers I'd
heard all night!"
